If we look at the history of marriage, generally the wants and desires of the woman has never been in consideration; thus the idea that sex is an expected requirement of marriage has to be given some circumspection. Certainly the exchange needs to be mutual for it to be sustainable. Using a woman as a receptacle is appalling to say in words, but think how the action actually feels when a woman finds herself in that position. It's important to understand that for women the sex begins mentally. So stimulating/seducing/inviting a woman to sex requires jump-starting her mind. The only time I'd stay in a sexless marriage is if we had children we were raising.
