10,000 spoons! 😂😂
Life doesn’t turn out like that even though you put all the things in place.. You just aren’t in the same place as when you wanted those things & neither is the world… All their is IS NOW…
Love the psychological quackery it was called.
Cheap shot at Capitalism nestled in your comedy act. Maybe you would be better suited for that kind of "work". Oh, sorry if that last word was triggering. I'm glad you admitted that you have at least 12 DSM-5 definable disorders at the beginning of your set.
Having sex at aged 70, I wish I had married five blokes before I married my wife
So charmed by the way she talks. I can go on listening to her.
Wonderful.
The only time I'd stay in a sexless marriage is if we had children we were raising. I wouldn't divorce the mother of my children over sex, but the idea that I'm going to remain sexless because my wife doesn't want to have sex with me isn't something I'm willing to subscribe to. You can't require me to provide for you, require monogamy and think you have no obligation to try to meet my sexual needs because, reasons. I'd rather be single or in a serial monogamy situation.
A retired psychologist and a member of the Vic labour party that i know, told me about ten years ago, that Rudd exhibits the classic signs of a narcissist.
I am a Jew from India and Anita Desai deserves the Nobel prize for 'Baumgartner's Bombay' and the rest of her humane fictions.
There's just something about this guy that's incredibly untrustworthy
I read through the comments to see if anyone else was discussing what this bishop was exemplifying. The love and forgiveness of Christ, the God he serves. The God who taught that if we forgive others their transgressions, Our Father in Heaven will also forgive ours. And who also taught that it is not enough to forgive seven times, but seventy times 7. Because He is a loving and forgiving God who will do the same for us. Try it. Repent and ask for forgiveness. For the very worst thing you have ever done, even for that which you have not forgiven yourself. And even for the smallest things. Bear your mistakes and ask forgiveness from the Loving Lord Jesus Christ. Just, ask right now for forgiveness, with a repentant heart, and see just what happens. Nobody has to know. Just do it and see. Glory to God for the healing that comes with forgiveness 🙏 May you receive His mercy, His love and His salvation. May His Holy Spirit come and dwell in you so that you may bear His fruits of LOVE, JOY, PEACE, FORGIVENESS, HOPE, THANKFULLNESS, GOODNESS, GLADNESS, GENTLENESS AND SELF-CONTROL ❤
I don’t see this power shift at all…
An assessment of Jake Adelstein by the world's best yakuza experts. "Not only do they misrepresent the yakuza, they make themselves into the heroes of crime novels and start telling the world that they are yakuza experts. It is tedious, time-consuming, and frequently causes trouble. I have learned the hard way that my name and work are often used to enhance the credibility of this work."
🙏
Thanks for all the work you've done on this Ms Dines.
A feminist learns that her underlying assumptions are essentially Christian in origin, and when you overturn that religious foundation, cultures who don’t share your assumptions will undermine your precious “progress”. Furthermore, her worldview is no less totalizing than Islamic fundemanetlism, as she is essentially calling for greater feminist advocacy in non-Western cultures. This is nothing short of imperialism, and a shaky one at that, since feminism has no foundation for “rights” or “equality” beyond shared oppression. You can’t build positive concepts on negations.
This is such a treat. Drabble writes with such erudition and musicality. I’ve always enjoyed her novels.
smh
Bookshops may die but storytelling never will. We will find new ways to tell our stories
How utterly splendid to hear him blend music and stories. A literary legend. A master
It's good to know that wanting to be with your mate is reasonable.
Sex is called „making love“. So not having sex means you’re not making love. You’ve turned a relationship into a flat sharing.
I got to help put on and play support for a couple of shows with Killdozer, in England, probably 87 and 88, and it's true that we were kind of surprised by what normal, nice guys they were. Not that we expected them to be monsters necessarily, being kind of of a similar scene ourselves, but all the same we didn't really expect mild-mannered school teachers. Of course, in the end, it was only natural that they were intelligent, but all the same 'interestingly-humoured'.
Beevor talking about ability of Germans to recover from disaster. From what I have read time and again, German army tactic when attacked is to regroup and counter attack, every time. The attacking force had to prepare for an counter attack - standard German response
The book was a delight to read and certainly filled in the blanks in my knowledge about the complexity of their sexual relationships, including Nolan and John Reed. So imagine my surprise to come across this interesting interview.
I though it was the Dice man
LOL He mentioned Mary Whitehouse, "the only person in the universe who had a television set without an off button, so she was forced to watch all that nudity after 9 o'clock at night." And do you remember what Roger Waters said about her in the lyrics to "Pigs (Three Different Ones)": Hey you, Whitehouse Ha, ha, charade you are You house proud town mouse Ha, ha, charade you are
29:50 love that and totally relate riparadise Steve I so wish I could’ve worked for you

Maybe someone should have asked about GORDON JARDEEN running the Liquorice Mile.
Boss:"take care of our city councilman" Henchman: *murders councilman* Boss: "bro i meant like take him on a night on the town, ya know a nice steak dinner, some drinks, women, etc"
Love this man. Love his music. Always caught both nights, Shellac played -San Francisco/Oakland. Always sold their own merch, after the show, talk to everyone. I'm going to miss seeing those play. Thirteen Shellac shows, since May 22nd, 1998, at Bimbo's 365. Last time, September 7th, 2022, Great American Music Hall. Fantastic shows. Fantastic band. Fantastic memories. Incredible man. Thank you, Mr. Albini. For everything.🤘
Now that I know it’s based on a true story, I’m pretty sure Jake wasn’t really sleeping with all them women lmfao

Has anyone read the book "NeuroTribes"?
If 1 in 36 people qualify for a diagnosis of autism, how is it a neurodivergence? With those numbers it sounds more like being normal with "neurotypical" people just controlling the game, much like patriarchy. Gosh! Iim not usually quite so conspiracy minded!
That's still under 3% of the population
What a great insite into a beautiful mind
Came here to pay respects ..rip Steve xx 2024
It’s sad to read some of these comments and see there are still people who refuse to understand the suffering involved in being the “higher sex drive” person in a relationship….especially when the other person claims to care about you and will imply (or outright say) that there’s something burdensome about being sexual with you.

Startling: The book Terry describes and Rob reads from is Snuff, not Thud.
It took The Mont 85 DAYS ( !! ) to clear the Scheldt Estuary and make Antwerp usable.
would love to have seen that dance routine.
Not his best work
I was 12 years when I read it. And in a way made the one I became to be. Enough said.
I love how, through her comedy, she is normalising being autistic. People get so serious about 'isms and worry about causing offence, but Fern still wants to giggle with us about willies. Five Stars
She lays out a lot of things people aren’t aware of.
